Guatín is one of the common names that is held in Colombia to a small rodent, typical of the Andean mountains. It is also called aguti, picure, ñeque, jochi, guatuza, guanaribo, cherenga, añuje, sereque. Its scientific name is Dasyprocta punctata and it is of the family Dasyproctidae .
