1. f. zancuda Ave, about three decimetres of long, with large peak and black color. The neck has three feathers of more than one decimetre in length inclined towards the tail blackish green back, grey belly, yellowish feet and black fingernails. It is found in temperate countries and feeds on fish and amphibians. The female lacks the three feathers of the neck.
2. f. plumage or plume used for ornament hats, morriones or turbans, and in the jaeces of horses.
