It is a Genoese way of calling foccacia i.e. onion bread. It is a variety of Argentine pizza that combines Neapolitan Pizza and Foccacia. It was invented by the Argentine, Juan Banchero, in the neighborhood of La Boca. He was the son of a Genoese.
