DIALOGUE FIGURES . LITERARY FIGURES, also called RHETORICAL FIGURES are expressions and phrases that are used in a non-traditional way and that give words special connotations, either to highlight a concept or to make the discourse more eloquent. It is intended to add expressiveness or beauty in order to surprise, excite, suggest or persuade. There are, according to my classification, 6 different types of literary figures, namely: 1. FIGURES OF DICTION fundamentally affect the formation of words. There are 4 subgroups: 1 . 1 . FIGURES OF TRANSFORMATION or METAPLASMS, in which in ordinary language it would be incorrect, 1 . 2 . REPETITION FIGURES , elements are repeated1 . 3 . FIGURES OF OMISSION , elements are omitted. 1 . 4 . POSITION FIGURES , the normal order 2 is altered. FIGURES OF ORDER There are 4 groups: 2 . 1 . BIMEMBRATION , 2 . 2 . CHIASM, 2 . 3 . HYPERBATHON , 2 . 4 . RESTRUCTURE3 . REPETITION FIGURES There are 12 groups: 3 . 1 . ALLITERATION, 3 . 2 . ANAPHORA, 3 . 3 . ANADIPLOSIS, 3 . 4 . CONCATENATION, 3 . 5 . EPANADIPLOSIS, 3 . 6 . EPIPHORA, 3 . 7 . PARALLELISM, 3 . 8 . PLEONASM, 3 . 9 . POLYPOTE , 3 . 10 . PARANOMASIA, 3 . 11 . POLYSYNDETON, 3 . 12 . REDUPLICATION 4 . FIGURES OF THOUGHT, alter the meaning of words, affect a complete statement. [ To be classified: irony, interrogation, , imprecation , prosopopeya , reluctance , apostrophe ] . . There are 8 groups: 4 . 1 . AMPLIFICATION FIGURES, They are techniques of elongation of the contents that are present in a specific text. are : 4 . 1 . 1 . politio , 4 . 1 . 2 . interpretatio , 4 . 1 . 3 . paraphrase, 4 . 1 . 4 . isodynamics, 4 . 1 . 5 . digression and 4 . 1 . 6 . epiphonema . 4 . 2 . ACCUMULATION FIGURES, look for the sum of the complementary elements to the ideas that have been exposed in each specific text. 4 . 2 . 1 . enumeration , 4 . 2 . 2 . distribution , 4 . 2 . 3 . epiphrasis and 4 . 2 . 4 . epithet. 4 . 3 . LOGICAL FIGURES, They are resources that have to do with the logical relationships that occur between the ideas of the same text. 4 . 3 . 1 . antithesis, 4 . 3 . 2 . cohabitation , 4 . 3 . 3 . oxymoron4 . 3 . 4 . paradox4 . 4 . DEFINITION FIGURES, They are those used to reflect linguistically the appearance of the topics discussed. They are also called description figures and are as follows: 4 . 4 . 1 . definition , 4 . 4 . 2 . prosopography, 4 . 4 . 3 . etopeya, 4 . 4 . 4 . pragmatography, 4 . 4 . 5 . topography , 4 . 4 . 6 . chronography , 4 . 4 . 7 . portrait , 4 . 4 . 8 . evidentia4 . 5 . OBLIQUE FIGURES They are those that designate in a totally indirect way a concrete reality using the correct words. There are 4 . 5 . 1 . periphrasis , 4 . 5 . 2 . lithotes and 4 . 5 . 3 . preterition . 4 . 6 . FIGURES OF DIALOGUE , Highlight the communicative character of the text. For trying to affectively incur the recipient of the message, these figures are also known as PATHETIC FIGURES. Within this group we find: : 4 . 6 . 1 . exclamation , 4 . 6 . 2 . invocation , 4 . 6 . 3 . indirect interrogation . 4 . 7 . DIALECTICAL FIGURES or FIGURES OF ARGUMENTATION, They are those that use argumentative techniques in a text, especially in dialectical debates. 4 . 7 . 1 . Concession, 4 . 7 . 2 . correctio , 4 . 7 . 3 . dubitatio , 4 . 7 . 4 . communicatio , 4 . 7 . 5 . conciliatio and 4 . 7 . 8 . parasaidon4 . 8 . FICTIONAL FIGURES 5 . FIGURES OF MEANING or significance (tropes): They affect the change of meaning of words. There are 11 groups : 5 . 1 . ALLEGORY 5 . 2 . ANTITHESIS or CONTRAST, 5 . 3 . APOSTROPHE, 5 . 4 . CALAMBUR , 5 . 5 . HYPERBOLE, 5 . 6 . METAPHOR, 5 . 7 . ONOMATOPOEIA, 5 . 8 . PARADOX , 5 . 9 . PERSONIFICATION , 5 . 10 . SIMIL , 5 . 11 .
