1. f. herbaceous plant of the family of the grasses, reeds slender and knotted, ensiformes, very rough leaf margins, troncadas glumes, greenish flowers in cylindrical spikes, and black seed. It grows in wet and marshy, sites up to four or five decimetres of height, and is highly desired by the chivalry grass.
