1. m. plant of the family of the grass with reeds of about 7 cm tall, radical leaves about 60 cm in length, so equipped on itself and along that appear as filiform, harsh, and tenacísimas, smaller leaves on the stem. It has flowers in panicle-up to 3 cm long, and very tiny seeds.
2. m. leaves of this plant, used in the industry to make ropes, mats, tripe, pasta to make paper, etc.
