Dumbo is a fictional character, a baby elephant who grows his ears by a sneeze and discovers that he can use them as wings to fly. It first appears in the children's book Dumbo, the Flying Elephant ("Dumbo, the Flying Elephant", 1939) by American Helen Aberson-Mayer, but became more popular when it was made into a film by Walt Disney in 1941, with a remake in 2019.
