Dolarizating action. Dollarization is the process by which a country adopts officially the use of U.S. currency, from there the origin of the term, for use in domestic economic transactions. The U.S. Foreign Exchange replaces the domestic currency in all its functions ( store of value, unit of account, medium of payment ).
