Distortion is an imbalance, a distortion or lack of harmony. When the market becomes distorted it means that there is a deformation usually trade, because prices are higher or lower than normal and when produced, bought and sold goods are also higher or lower than the normal ones or those that exist in a competitive and balanced market.
