Eugenics ( from the Greek ?a³ would ½¹ ° ®, which means good source would: µ would-US ( would good would )- and ³½ would to-genesis origin, kinship-)??????? It is a social philosophy that advocates the improvement of human through various forms of intervention manipulated hereditary traits and selective methods of humanos.1 the origin of eugenics is strongly rooted to the emergence of social Darwinism at the end of the century XIX.2 3 4The eugenics would increase more strong, healthy, intelligent people or specific ethnic or social group which promotes directly or indirectly not procreation of those who do not possess these qualities coming to consider your application as an advantage in saving financial resources to countries. In this sense it would be related to the Malthusianism, the natalismo and nationalism. The traditional means of genetic selection, in plants and animals, was artificial selection ( based, though they recognize, in the laws of Mendel ). The methods of the eugenics of the century XIX and XX included from sterilization enforced up to the genocide. Modern eugenicists methods focus on prenatal diagnosis and fetal scanning, genetic counselling, in vitro fertilization and genetic engineering.[citation needed]Eugenics opponents assert that this is immoral and is based in, or is in itself, a pseudoscience. Historically, eugenics has been used as justification for various forms of coercive discrimination and violations of human rights that were promoted by political systems, for example: cases of forced sterilization of persons with genetic defects, murders people for their race, religion or sexual orientation as well as the genocide of races or cultures considered lower. As the nazi eugenics program, "The most traumatic experience can be found in Germany, where the nazis put into practice its racial ideology, so they decided to get rid of those breeds that they considered inferior ( 6 million Jews, 800,000 Gypsies ) and running a medical program known as Aktion T4, which removed or sterilized to 275,000 people, disabled, mentally ill and homosexual ".?5The artificial selection of humans was suggested since very ancient times, at least since Plato, but its modern version was formulated for the first time by Sir Francis Galton, in 1865, by resorting to the then recent work of his cousin Charles Darwin. Since its beginnings, eugenics was supported by leading figures, including Alexander Graham Bell, George Bernard Shaw and Winston Churchill.[citation needed] Eugenics was an academic discipline in many schools and universities. Its scientific accuracy started to question in the 1930's, however, at that time Ernst Rüdin began to incorporate the eugenic rhetoric to the racial policy of nazi Germany. During the post-war period, much of the public, including the scientific community, associated eugenics with Nazi abuses, which included " 34 racial hygiene; and the extermination, however, several regional and national Governments kept eugenic programs until the 1970s.
