2. m. teleósteo fish of the suborder of the Acantopterigios of around eight decimetres of long head, eyes and large, conical teeth in both jaws and two or three of the very outgoing Central Marine body compressed, colored blue on the back, argentado by the sides and belly, reddish fins and forked tail. It is white and edible meat and is abundant in the Mediterranean.
