Thortveitite: Silicate of scandium with molecular structure of sorosilicate with cations in octahedral coordination or higher. -It usually impurities in yttrium, zirconium, hafnium, aluminium, iron, manganese, magnesium, calcium, cerium and rare earths. -It crystallizes in the monoclinic and prismatic system.
