1. m. perennial plant of the family of the Compositae, with annual, stems almost Woody, of six to eight decimetres of high, the leaves are alternate, ovate, with breasts and cracks deep, green above and whitish on the underside, and abundant, stalked, solitary flowers, axillary and Terminal, varied, but often purple colors. It comes from China and is grown in the gardens, which blooms during autumn.
