Civilization, using the term in a restricted sense, is a complex society. Civilizations differ from tribal societies based on kinship by the predominance of urban way of life ( the city, which imposes social relationships more open ) and sedentary lifestyle ( which involves the development of agriculture and from her economic development with the Division of labour, the marketing of surpluses and, later, industrialization and the tertiarisation ).If used in a broad sense, becomes a synonym of culture ( enclosing the visions of the world or ideologies, beliefs, values, customs, laws and institutions ).
