In Cuba it is an insectivorous bird and seedbed that has black plumage. It is also called Cuban zanate or toti. Its scientific name is Ptiloxena atroviolacea and it belongs to the family Icteridae. In Quechua it means small intestine. Gut. The terms chinchulín, choncholí, chunchullo, chinchurria, chunchurria, chunchula or chunchules (in the Quechua language) are also used.
