?Chapaza: one of the many elements that has a water mill as that abound in the river Aliste. Consists of a quadrangular 0.50 x 0.40 CMS wood attached with a rope to the hopper of grain, so that when the grain is completed, that timber rises and displaces water that normally moves with force the metal wheel attached to the stone and the rodreno ( rodezno ) that move to turn the hopper so that the grain falls slowly. Thus the mill stops, and stones will not wear there is no grain. The rodreno for ( rodezno ) and also mobile stone which is the superior this system was devised very intelligently to avoid having to be present during grinding. I remember going with my father some night of winter to be ground down, mill when he was a child. All members of the mill had the right grind for a few days of winter, according to the established order. We missed the grain into the hopper, comprobábamos everything worked fine and we came back home. But one thing that impressed me very much was that my father since we left home spoke softly and I imitated him without asking. We seemed to be illegal and then I knew that we were, because it was forbidden to grind without the control of the Government after the war. I suppose also that the Civil Guard did and did turn a blind eye.
