CENOBITA word meaning "member of a community religious order". In the original novel Hellraiser the cenobites are called "theologians of the Order of Incision" and also hierophants. The Cenobites are fictional characters from Hellraiser and the films of the saga of the same name. They also appear in the novel Weavenworld. All works are by Clive Barker.
