Cedeño is a surname of Spanish origin. It is the name of two municipalities in Venezuela, one of the State of Monagas and the other of the State of Bolivar. In Colombia it is the name of a Corregimiento of the municipality of Yarumal, Department of Antioquia. Last name of two very important Venezuelan servicemen, one Procer de la Independencia (Manuel Cedeño) and a leader of the Refining Revolution (José Gregorio Cedeño).
