The Cambamba is a traditional celebration in Colombia, established in Barranquilla in the slums to revive and strengthen the Barranquilla Carnival. Carnival in the neighborhoods below, Montecristo, model and center of Barranquilla. Carlos Pérez Parra devised it in 1987. It was initially an impromptu feast of parades and dances. It is currently about 100 parades, dances and cumbiambas. The Cambamba is one of the top rated shows of the Barranquilla Carnival. The word means impromptu party.
