Meaning of callo de hacha

callo de hacha: Edible adductor muscle of bivalve molluscs in the family Pinnidae, mainly species Atrina maura, tuberculous Atrina, Atrina rigida and rough Pinna, which are known in a colloquial manner as axes for its characteristic shape and large size.; Bivalve molluscs called Europe " pinnae macras ". Its name derives from the hull of the Roman soldiers penna. The shells of the callus of axe have aspect trigonal, Cuneiform and are very thin.
