City founded by Indians or aborigines of Illinois, made almost 1,000 years, on the banks of the Mississippi River. Cahokia was also the name of one of the tribes of the Illiniwek Indians, who lived in that area. He is believed that the city reached up to 15,000 inhabitants, made major constructions and made human sacrifices.
