The Bosphorus Strait is located in the city of Istanbul (Turkey), separates Asia from Europe and links the Black Sea with the Marmara Sea. According to legend, the strait was crossed by Io, Zeus' lover, turned into a cow so that it was not recognized by Hera, the prince's jealous wife.
