The correct term is buffalo, with tilde. It means vessel, container, bowl, jar, glass. In Colombia it is a way to call a bumangués or a person from Bucaramanga, a city of the Department of Santander, of which it is its capital. The fan of that city's football club, Atlético Bucaramanga and also a tree, is called a buccaneer, which is also known as anaco, anauco, buffalo, elequeme, gallito, bucayo or pízamo. Its scientific name is Erythrina fusca and belongs to the fabaceae family.
