Belona or Bellona was the name of the Roman goddess of war. According to Roman mythology she was the daughter of Juno and Jupiter. Bellona is the name of one of the Solomon Islands. It is also the name of a city in Italy, located in the Province of Caserta, in the Campania region. For environmentalists, it is the name of a Norwegian Foundation, which proposes for environmental protection and the use of nuclear weapons. Bellona is also the name of an asteroid.
