1. adj. Bot. He says of Angiosperm plants dicots, straight or climbing, unarmed, hairy or with Stingers, leaves alternate, entire, cut or composed, flowers in umbel and drupe fruit; e.g. the aralia and Ivy tree. U t. c. s. f.
2. f. pl. Bot. Family of these plants, which are not distinguished in the umbelliferae rather than being their seeds covered by a fleshy pericarp.
