In Colombia it means to endure, to support. Place an inclined pole to reinforce another that is vertical. In some parts of Colombia it is to take onces or an intermediate meal in the afternoon which is called puntal or puntalito. It is usually coffee or chocolate with bread (parva) and cheese. It is named so mostly in the coffee area.
