1. f. Gram. Construction in which a noun or nominal group immediately follows, with tonal range to another element of this same class to explain something to him; e.g., Madrid, capital of Spain, is in the Centre of the peninsula, her nurse by profession, made him the first cure.
2. f. Gram. Construction of two nominal elements together, the second of which specifies the first; e.g., my friend the shopkeeper, the King Felipe II. Ext., it applies to buildings of the Goya Street type or the fool of Rigoberto.
