1º_ Plural of amorín ("image of cupid as angel", "amorío") . 2º_ It was a secret political and religious organization formed by about 600 people in the state of Utah (USA) in the mid-nineteenth century. Their purpose was to prevent Catholic advance into a territory dominated by the Mormons of the Latter-day Saint Movement, where they had settled after being expelled from other states.
