It is a new monotypic genus of plants belonging to the family Poaceae, native to the Amazon. It was recently described by Argentine Professor Fernando Omar Zuloaga. For his studies and discoveries has been engaged him Poaceae also the name of Zuloagae. The only species discovered so far is the Agnesia Lancifolia.
