1. adj. Bot. It is said quite branched gimnospermos trees, with persistent leaves of very narrow and even acicular limbo, Monoecious Unisexual flowers, the male in catkins and female on pine nuts. The seeds, which are never fleshy, covered by very tight scales; e.g., pine, FIR, larch and cedar. U t. c. s. f.
