It is a variant of the archaic bada ("rhinoceros, originally the female") which is a Lussism although it has its origin in the Portuguese colonies in Malaysia. Abada is a city in Oyo State, Nigeria. Also called Abade, it is a town in the province of Fars (Iran). In Morocco, in the Eastern Region, there is a place called Abada.
