It is used in Spanish-speaking countries to name the equipment with battery to power electrical appliances in case of a failure in the power supply. 2º_ 'Ups' is used as an interjection, as a drowned and more discreet "oh", often as irony before a fait accompli pretending to regret it. It is the Spanish version of the English 'oops'.
