Plural of tonina . It is one of the common ways of calling the Pink Dolphin, which exists in the rivers of the Orinoco and Amazon basins. It is a mammal, not a fish, of the order cetaceans. Its scientific name is Inia geoffrensis and it belongs to the family Iniidae. It also receives other common names: boto, bufeo, Amazon dolphin, Meta dolphin, Orinoco dolphin.
