It means it trembles. In Colombia it is one of the common names of a fish that produces electric shocks. It is also called in Colombia electric angila, tremblón, poraqué, pilaké, gimnoto or simply eel. It is also called a bandit knife fish. Its scientific name is Electrophorus electricus and belongs to the family Gymnotidae .
