In the Gran Chaco Region, a bird with showy plumage is called a surucua or surucuá. There are two species and several subspecies. Its scientific name is Trogon surrucura, if it is the common surucuá and Trogon rufus, if it is the yellow surucuá. It belongs to the family Trogonidae.
