"Everlasting." From the Latin "sempiternus". 1 . Adjective. That will last forever; which, having had a beginning, will have no end. The everlasting is "perpetual," "infinite," for it will extend forever, for it has no end. 2 . "Everlasting" must be differentiated from "eternal", because although they are similar meanings, they do not express exactly the same thing. Everlasting "has no beginning and no end," but eternal "has neither beginning nor end."
