Sarahuate is also used. In Mexico and Guatemala it is a way of calling the Guatemalan howler monkey. It is also called black araguato or black araguato monkey, black howler monkey, sarahuate. Its scientific name is Alouatta pigra and it belongs to the family Atelidae.
