Disease caused by the bacteria yersinia pestis, which is found in infected animals such as rats and have as vector fleas that also bite humans. It causes inflammation in the lymph nodes ( bubbly), and if it reaches the lungs it is called pneumonic plague. It has a high mortality rate without medical treatment. See black death.

BUBONIC PESTE Pandemic that ravaged Europe and part of Asia in the 14th century. It is native to Mongolia and transmitted by the bite of fleas living in rodents.
