Namaste (with emphasis on the first to) is an expression of greeting native to India, used in various Buddhist traditions and many cultures in Asia. Used both as a Hello and goodbye in Spanish to greet, say goodbye, ask and give thanks, show respect and veneration and to pray. It is normally accompanied by a light inclination of the head made with palms open and joined together against the chest and in the prayer position. It comes from Sanskrit and means quot; quot; Revere you.
