Biograficadr. Jaita Talukdar is Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology from Loyola University of New Orleans. Before arriving at Loyola, he taught at visiting professor at Northland College and Temple University. His research explores the effects on urban India of the social forces of gender, social class, culture and globalization in the body and bodily processes, and health. Some of their own research and book reviews have been accepted for publication in magazines such as qualitative sociology, sociology Focus, studies of the woman of the International Forum and the American Journal of Sociology
