Meaning of infodemia

infodemia: Another invention closer to an advertisement than a linguist. It's supposed to be an "information epidemic," good or bad, spread like a plague. It comes from the English infodemic (English/information english/epidemic). See pandemic, endemia, sindemia.; Epidemic of bad information. Wrong data that is broadcast by social networks and that causes a lot of evil. Economic condition caused by the spread of erroneous or panicked news.
