1. f. plant of the family of the Verbenáceas, from twelve to fifteen decimetres of height, with leaves elliptic, acute and rough above, small flowers in Spike, white on the outside and bluish in the interior, and dry fruit with black seeds. It is cultivated in gardens, has smell of lemon, and it is prized as a tonic, stomach and antispasmodic.
