It is characterized by seven to thirteen decimetres of length, with long petiole, fronds bulk and partly underground, which cut through represents approximately the two-headed eagle used in heraldry. Each frond is divided into two or three parties, and you are in hairy, lanceolate segments below and with the seminal capsules located along the margin. The Rhizome is used in medicine as an anthelmintic.1. m. species of filicínea which is characterized by fronds of six to eight decimetres of length, oblong, petiole covered with scales reddish and divided into long serrated edge segments. The Rhizome is somewhat bitter and unpleasant smell, and is used in medicine as a disinfectant.
