It has small head with long, pointed ears, black and bright eyes, mouth with cleft upper lip, neck long, straight, curved and covered, as the entire body, abundant hair is long and glossy, usually dark brown in color, sometimes gray, to white and yellowish-Red; tail short, high and decorated by fine bristles, thin and long, with two well separated toes feet and legs with strong nails. It has in the chest and knees calluses as camels. It is a wild animal that lives in the southern Andes.
