It is a pathological fear towards something that is not necessarily dangerous or harmful. It is taken from the Greek 966; 959; 946; 959; 962; (fovos "fear, fear") which is used lightly as a suffix (-phobia) to indicate any fear of anything that has nothing to do with a disease, or even worse, as if it meant "hatred".
