A laboratory measuring instrument used to analyze the behavior of gases subjected to chemical or physical reactions. The name has something poetic, in Greek 949; 965; 948; 953; 959; 962; (eudios) means "of clear and serene atmosphere") which is related to the goodness of the gods, and the suffix -meter.
