Pacasmayo-Pacasmayo is, also, a name derived from a quechua phrase: do company pagh-ghas may-yu which means do night River do.???? The first word means do night did and the second do rio do.???? These rivers are small streams of water arriving in certain places of the coast as a result of rains of sunset or sunrise in the sierra usually come at night and disappear at dawn leaving only moisture.
