Bethlehem is the name of a small town in Palestine where Jesus was born. It should be clarified that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but spent most of his life in the city of Nazareth, that is why Jesus is known as Jesus of Nazareth and not as Jesus of Bethlehem.
