It's a food. It means fatty liver of duck or goose. Unfortunately it occurs intentionally, overfeeding these birds, so that they develop that fatty liver pathology. They suffer too much with the superchargement that is forced and therefore, many animal protection societies often reject it and denounce this practice of those who produce such food.
