It is a kind of wild goat or wild lamb typical of Europe. It is native to Corsica and Sardinia and currently has large populations in Germany and the Czech Republic. It has been distributed in many countries where hunting grounds exist. Its scientific name is Ovis orientalis musimon and belongs to the Bovidae family.
